PRIMERO CONSERVATION is an Arizona based nonprofit corporation that works in southwestern United States and northern Mexico to create a management model for natural resources and private ranchlands to eliminate lethal predator control and compliment grass-roots social and economic development. We bring professionals together who have a particular interest in jaguar conservation and a passion for biodiversity, particularly in the jaguars’ most northern territory. Biodiversity that includes puma, black bear, ocelot, Coues white-tailed deer, collared peccary, and healthy habitat for sustainable populations. As a cultural icon and an umbrella species, the jaguar speaks for the people of Sonora, Mexico in the High Sierras; hopefully, this voice will again be heard in the United States. We advocate wildlife corridors without borders.
