PRIMERO CONSERVATION is an Arizona based nonprofit corporation that works primarily in southwestern United States and northern Mexico to create a management model for natural resources and private ranchlands that will eliminate lethal predator control and compliment grass-roots social and economic development. It brings professionals together who have particular interests in jaguar conservation to facilitate sustainable populations and biodiversity. Biodiversity in the northern most territory of jaguar includes sympatric mountain lion, ocelot, black bear, Coues white-tailed deer, and collared peccary. As a cultural icon and an umbrella species, the jaguar speaks for the people of Sonora, Mexico in the High Sierras: May it once again lend voice to jaguar repopulation in the United States.
